The 2026/27 season is here! Below are Fantasy Futbol's combined Premier League & La Liga draft rankings. I have added my own commentary to a good amount of the players, and hope to get through all 150 by the time the EPL kicks off on 8/21. 1) Kylian Mbappé - Real Madrid - Attacking Forward - The best player in the world has been the best player in Fantasy Futbol over the last 2 seasons, averaging 30.7 points per game. He & Haaland are the top attackers in the game by a mile, but his ability to create for his teammates is underrated. He was 9th across EPL & La Liga last season in creating, primarily feeding Vini Jr, Guler, and Bellingham. All the major pieces are back for Real Madrid and he should continue to be the dominant force in global soccer.
2) Bruno Fernandes - Manchester United - Creating Midfielder - Bruno Fernandes is the single most valuable player to any team across EPL & La Liga, and has accounted for over 20% of Man U's entire squad's fantasy points over the past 2 years. He's the only player in either league to lead his team in corners, free kicks, and penalties. He scored 50% more creating points than numbers 2 and 3 on our list, Pablo Fornals and Lamine Yamal, which is by far the biggest gap between 1 and 2/3 across the major scoring categories. He is the focal point of Man U's entire offense and we don't see that changing. He has a ton of talent around him in Cunha and Mbeumo, and he is poised to continue playing at a world-class level this season.
3) Lamine Yamal - Barcelona - Attacking Forward - We have Lamine Yamal narrowly ahead of Vini Jr, despite missing 10 games last season, for one simple reason - when he's healthy, he's a top 5 producer across both leagues in every single category (attacking, creating, and progressing). He is the most well-rounded player in Fantasy Futbol and is still only 19 years old. Even when he's not scoring, he is dominating the game. Even though we have him ranked at 3, he is very worthy of the #1 overall spot. While Barcelona has lost some legit attacking talent (Rashford, Lewandowski, and potentially Raphinha), we still expect him to contend for the #1 overall spot in 26/27.
4) Vinícius Júnior - Real Madrid - Attacking Forward - Vini Jr was a workhorse last year, appearing in 36 games and finishing top 10 in every category (attacking, creating, progressing) in both total points and PPG. Across both EPL & La Liga, he was 3rd in total points and 4th in PPG. His elite creation numbers (4th in EPL & La Liga) primarily come from feeding Mbappe, and when combined with his elite attacking numbers (also 4th in EPL & La Liga), they make him more than worthy of a top 5 pick.
5) Enzo Fernandez - Chelsea - Balanced Midfielder - With Cole Palmer missing a good amount of time, and many of his favorite targets from 24/25 getting rotated out or leaving, Enzo took on more of an attacking role and ended with another productive season for Chelsea. He has been remarkably consistent year over year, finding different ways to make an impact despite playing different roles. Much of Chelsea's attack returns, and if he can keep his attacking numbers up while mirroring his creating numbers from 24/25, he could be in for a monster year.
6) Erling Haaland - Manchester City - Attacking Forward - Norway's World Cup hero, and maybe the most likeable player in global football, is good at one thing and one thing only - scoring goals. Unfortunately for Haaland, we weight attacking, creating, and progressing equally, and he is not interested in creating or progressing. No other player in EPL or La Liga gets a greater share of points from a single category than Haaland gets from attacking. Fortunately for Haaland, we handsomely reward scoring goals, and he has scored more than anyone over the last 2 seasons other than Mbappe. There is some significant squad risk with Guardiola leaving, but if anyone's spot is safe at Man City, it's Haaland.
7) Dominik Szoboszlai - Liverpool - Creating Midfielder - After Bruno Fernandes, Szoboszlai is the #2 high-floor player on our list. He rarely explodes for a big performance, but he is remarkably consistent primarily due to being Liverpool's primary corner and free kick taker. He has not historically been on penalties, but if he takes over that role from Salah, he could significantly outperform this ranking.
8) Matheus Cunha - Manchester United - Attacking Forward - Bruno's primary beneficiary, Cunha had a slightly down season by his standards relative to his previous one at Wolves, where he was simply dominant. Bruno->Cunha is the most productive combo in the EPL and if Bruno continues to perform, Cunha will continue to benefit.
9) Antoine Semenyo - Manchester City - Attacking Forward - Semenyo is remarkably consistent, scoring nearly exactly the same amount of points in 25/26 as he did in 24/25 (646.5 to 647.5). He has had no injury issues the last 2 seasons and has started 74 of 76 games. There is some minor risk with the new manager, but he has been extremely productive and should be able to hold off Savinho for his spot. HOWEVA - the data might be wrong on this one. Semenyo is buoyed primarily by his 18 PPG across 2 seasons w/ Bournemouth, and he only scored 14 PPG across 16 games after joining City. There is real risk here, but also incredible upside as a locked-in starter in City's attack.
10) Raphinha - Barcelona - Attacking Forward - Now this is where it gets interesting. Raphinha is coming off an injury-laden season but has top 5 potential when healthy. He was the top creator across both leagues in 24/25. However, even when he's healthy, he is very boom-or-bust. Not only that, but Barcelona just brought in Anthony Gordon at the same position. There is a significant amount of risk here, but also the potential to have a superb payoff.
11) Bryan Mbeumo - Manchester United - Attacking Forward - The third Man U player in the top 11, Mbeumo is the 2nd biggest beneficiary of Bruno Fernandes' brilliance. He takes enough corners to build a decent floor, but he goes as Bruno goes. Like Semenyo and Cunha, I don't know if he is first-round worthy.
12) Morgan Gibbs-White - Nottingham Forest - Attacking Midfielder - A truly dynamic attacking midfielder, MGW was one of the best players in the Prem last season. Unfortunately, his primary source of chances, Elliot Anderson, has moved on to Man City. He has been remarkably consistent and durable, but losing Anderson may cap his upside. HOWEVA - Anderson's exit could open up more opportunities for him as MGW took the 2nd most free kicks in the attacking zone for Forest, far behind Anderson. Will MGW grow into an even larger role for Forest, or will someone else step up?
13) Pedri - Barcelona - Creating Midfielder - Pedri dominates the game through creation and ball progression, with fewer attacking points than anyone else in our Top 35. Whatever the opposite of Haaland is, Pedri is it. Pedri is also one of the most matchup dependent scorers across both leagues - when Barcelona gets a significantly weaker matchup, of which there are many, he really lights it up.
14) Declan Rice - Arsenal - Creating Midfielder - Everything we said for Szoboszlai, we can say about Declan Rice. Rice is locked in to take corners and free kicks, giving him a super high floor. He is the anchor of Arsenal's offense, and has moved into a more prominent creating role with Odegaard's impact starting to wane. Rice is a bulletproof pick, and there is a real case for him to go as high as 8th overall.
15) Antony - Real Betis - Creating Forward - Antony has been a new man since transferring from Man U to Betis, and ended last season as the #4 player in La Liga. He plays a different style than most FWs as he primarily creates from the forward position. Betis returns every relevant piece of their attack, so Antony should continue to perform well at his new club.
16) Jude Bellingham - Real Madrid - Balanced Midfielder - Bellingham is coming off a remarkable World Cup performance and should continue his form into another season with Real Madrid. He carries some legit injury risk as he only started 51 of 76 games over the past 2 seasons. When he's healthy, he's extremely balanced in his ability to score across every major category. There was some coaching turmoil last season and Mourinho has now taken over - if he's able to deploy Bellingham to the best of his abilities, he has more than enough potential to end up a Top 10 player this season.
17) Cole Palmer - Chelsea - Attacking Midfielder - Palmer may be getting dinged too much for his lack of availability in 25/26. He consistently performs at a top 10 level when healthy and has top 5 potential, sitting at 5th across both leagues in PPG over the last 2 years combined. 17th is far too low and he really shouldn't make it out of the first round without being selected. Getting him at 17 would be a steal - the upside is worth it.
18) Federico Valverde - Real Madrid - Balanced Midfielder - The fourth Real Madrid player on our list, Valverde, similar to Bellingham, makes an impact in a variety of ways. Mourinho recently named him captain and said that he sees him as the heartbeat of the new era at Madrid. Valverde has been a durable, consistent producer in the midfield over the past 2 seasons and it seems like Mourinho envisions more of the same from the 28-year-old Uruguayan.
19) Bruno Guimarães - Newcastle United - Balanced Midfielder - Bruno Guimaraes is an absolute stud, and frankly deserves better. Newcastle has absolutely gutted their roster and Eddie Howe stepped down. He is the only player of any relevance left, and it should be a brutal year for Newcastle. So disappointing to see such an incredible player be put in such a futile situation. Here's to hoping the Arsenal move actually goes through and he can play meaningful soccer this season. That being said, he has the talent and he needs to be at the center of everything they do offensively. So, on volume alone, he earns this spot.
20) Pedro Porro - Tottenham Hotspur - Progressing Defender - Pedro Porro is a unicorn. He led Tottenham in both corners and free kicks, one of only 2 DFs to lead their team in both. With De Zerbi cautiously working James Maddison back into the lineup, Porro should continue to be locked in as the primary corner and free-kick taker, giving him a very high floor. He scores 4+ more PPG than the #2 DF, and provides more value than anyone else at the DF position.
21) Rayan Cherki - Manchester City - Creating Midfielder - Cherki was incredible for Man City after usurping the CAM spot from Phil Foden. He was one of the top 5 creators in Europe in 24/25 at Lyon, and adjusted quite well to the EPL, ending up as a Top 5 creator despite only starting 19 games. Despite pissing Pep off at least once every game, his impact was immense and he was trusted to run the attack. Unfortunately, with the managerial change, there is a very real chance Foden is able to earn his spot back and cut into Cherki's minutes. The 22-year-old Frenchman has been stellar, but carries real risk with the managerial change.
22) Julián Álvarez - Atlético Madrid - Attacking Forward - Alvarez had a down year in 25/26. He is a top 10 talent in La Liga and finished #6 overall in 24/25, but fell out of the top 25 in 25/26. This was primarily due to Atletico's Champions League run, where Simeone kept him out of Atletico's last 9 league games to keep him fresh in the UCL. There was also some squad reshuffling in 25/26 as they added Baena and relegated Griezmann to a non-starting role. I expect Alvarez to return to 24/25 levels of production as he has now had a full year to build chemistry with Baena, and Simeone continues to improve.
23) Bukayo Saka - Arsenal - Creating Forward - Saka had a down year in 25/26, performing well below his 24/25 numbers and facing increased competition from Noni Madueke. He's only started 45 of 76 possible games over the last 2 seasons, but when healthy, he is a top 10 producer across both competitions. Saka is still only 24, and if he's able to maintain his fitness, he should have a big year for Arsenal.
24) Marcus Tavernier - AFC Bournemouth - Balanced Forward - Bournemouth were the story of the EPL last season, finishing 6th and qualifying for European football despite Semenyo transferring to Man City. Tavernier quickly rose to the occasion and led the team in scoring with 18.3 PPG after Semenyo's departure. The emergence of Rayan and Kroupi was certainly a huge part of this production, and unfortunately Kroupi is out for 4 months with a foot injury. Tavernier is on the rise and very well may overperform this ranking.
25) Igor Thiago - Brentford - Attacking Forward - Igor Thiago is mini-Haaland. Super goal-dependent (4th most goals across EPL + La Liga) and doesn't do much else. He started 37/38 games last year so you can bank on him playing, but he is one of the most boom-or-bust players in either league. That being said, when he has a big game he really goes off. I expect the goal totals to come back down to earth a bit, and I'm not touching him before the 4th/5th round.
26) Arda Güler - Real Madrid - Creating Midfielder - Now here is someone massively underrated. The fifth Real Madrid player on our list is the one with the most upside to outperform his ranking. The 21-year-old Guler is locked in on both free kicks and corners, giving him a solid floor. He is Mbappe's primary creator, and Mourinho has stated he wants to deploy him similarly to how he used Ozil over 10 years ago. He has an incredible amount of weapons available to him, and with Bellingham playing a more central arriving role rather than an on-ball creator, he has every opportunity to be the #1 creator in all of global football this season.
27) Pablo Fornals - Real Betis - Creating Midfielder - The #2 creator across both the EPL & La Liga, Fornals is the catalyst of the Betis attack. He took a huge step up last season, stepping into Isco's role after Isco broke his leg in preseason. Isco appears to be back to full strength, but he is 34 and was primarily used as a sub for Fornals after returning from injury. Fornals is locked in on corner duty and occasional free-kick duty. If he's able to hold off Isco for the starting spot, he is primed for another monster season.
28) Alex Iwobi - Fulham - Progressing Midfielder - I love Alex Iwobi. He almost always has a solid performance independent of the opponent, and impacts the game in so many ways. BUT, this year, he is firmly on my do-not-draft list. Fulham has lost a ton of production with Harry Wilson and Raul exiting, and Iwobi will need to put the team on his back. He is more than capable of doing it, and if he gets selected to take penalties I may be eating my words.
29) Morgan Rogers - Chelsea - Attacking Midfielder - Chelsea's newest addition seems primed to follow the paths of Cunha, Mbeumo, and Semenyo before him - move to a bigger club, and have your production drop. That being said, he most likely will be deployed as an Attacking Mid next to Cole Palmer in Xabi Alonso's 3-4-2-1 and should feature heavily in the offense. This feels like the right spot for him, and he could easily outperform this ranking.
30) Pedro Neto - Chelsea - Creating Forward - Neto carries some real risk with Xabi Alonso taking over managerial duties and Morgan Rogers joining the squad. Neto is firmly on my do-not-draft list as there is too much ambiguity around how he'll be deployed, and it seems like he may be the odd man out in 26/27.
31) Víctor Muñoz - Liverpool - Attacking Forward - Munoz has upgraded clubs as he has moved from Osasuna to Liverpool, which means he is most likely heading for a drop-off in production. Iraola made him his first signing, so I am assuming he will start on the left wing for Liverpool, but the move to a bigger club almost always means production falls off a cliff. Let's see if he can buck the trend.
32) Anthony Gordon - Barcelona - Balanced Forward - I'm not sure what to make of Anthony Gordon, and it's almost certainly not his fault. Eddie Howe rotated him out of the starting lineup frequently, but he always delivered when he got the nod. Now he joins Barcelona and plays the same position as Raphinha, so something needs to give. I don't think Barca paid $70M to sit him, but I'm not sure how this situation resolves. My gut says they find a way to coexist, but based on all of the unknowns I don't think this is where I spend my 3rd/4th-round pick.
33) Alberto Moleiro - Villarreal - Balanced Midfielder - The 22-year-old Spaniard had a big season for Villarreal after transferring in from relegated Las Palmas. He has finished as a top 8 MF in La Liga in each of the past 2 seasons, and bucked the trend we saw with Mbeumo, Cunha, and Semenyo where he kept his production after transferring into a bigger squad. I expect him to have an even more productive season this year as he gets another year in the system and another year paired with Mikautadze.
34) Georges Mikautadze - Villarreal - Attacking Forward - Moleiro's teammate Mikautadze ended the season on fire for Villarreal and is essentially La Liga's version of Igor Thiago, without the added benefit of being the penalty taker. He is very boom-or-bust and super goal-dependent. Like most goal-dependent attackers he disappears against stronger sides and feasts on everyone else. I'm probably not looking his way until the 5th round at the earliest.
35) Daniel Olmo - Barcelona - Creating Midfielder - Olmo carries legit injury risk. He's been fantastic when healthy - he played extremely well at the World Cup and had a great 2nd season at Barcelona. Barcelona has plenty of talent and he has been rotated out of the lineup frequently. The risk is definitely priced in at this ranking, and if he's able to stay on the field he should be a top 10 performer in La Liga.
36) Abde Ezzalzouli - Real Betis - Balanced Forward - We have arrived at the most underrated player in the Top 50. Ezzalzouli played well in 24/25 but left a lot of attacking points on the board, only scoring 2 goals on 62 shots. He fixed his scoring problem last season with 10 goals on 73 shots. He is the 3rd piece of Betis' Big 3, and while he does face some real rotation risk once the Champions League rolls around, he is about as consistent as they come. Abde is worth a real look in the back half of the 2nd or early in the 3rd.
37) Ante Budimir - Osasuna - Attacking Forward - Budimir is an even more extreme version of Haaland - he only attacks and does zero creating or progressing. He's scored 8 penalties in each of the last 2 seasons, but the Osasuna offense has lost Munoz to Liverpool and Budimir is 35 years old. He beats up the bottom-of-the-table teams and is pretty irrelevant if they face even a half-decent matchup. Autostart against a weak matchup, not really playable otherwise. This is not someone I'm looking to take in the 4th, and probably not worth a look until a round or 2 later.
38) Florian Wirtz - Liverpool - Creating Midfielder - Wirtz had a tough time transitioning from Bundesliga to the EPL last season. He was one of the top creators in Europe in 24/25, but ended up averaging 9.5 PPG through November. Come December, he was a completely different player, averaging 18.8 PPG over the rest of the season. The transition is over and he has officially arrived. He is severely underrated in this ranking and should be a top 25 pick.
39) Anton Stach - Leeds United - Creating Midfielder - Stach had a very solid first season in the EPL, leading Leeds in points as well as in both corners and free kicks. His floor is threatened this season as Leeds has added Harry Wilson who also led Fulham in both corners and free kicks. If Wilson cuts into his dead-ball share, Stach is way too highly ranked here at 39. If he's able to keep his share, 39 seems about right.
40) Nicolas Pépé - Villarreal - Creating Forward - Nicolas Pepe is an absolute steal if he's still on the board at 40. He was given the keys to Villarreal's attack and had an incredible season as their top creator. Pepe finished at #7 overall in La Liga and Villarreal returns all of their pieces - he shouldn't get out of the 3rd round and definitely shouldn't still be on the board at 40.
41) Jérémy Doku - Manchester City - Creating Forward - Doku is an absolute monster. He is incredibly dynamic with the ball at his feet and is a world-class creator on the wing. He can beat anyone one-on-one, works his way into the box, and typically finds Haaland. He is a fringe top 20 pick and shouldn't get out of the 3rd round.
42) Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Everton - Balanced Midfielder - KDH is, alongside the injured James Garner, the engine that makes Everton's offense go. Garner may miss time early in the season and KDH should be solely on dead-ball duty. Definitely worth grabbing here and should get off to an awesome start to the season.
43) Aleix Febas - Celta Vigo - Progressing Midfielder - Febas is on my do-not-draft list. He's buoyed by his recent season at Elche where he literally never left the pitch, and it remains to be seen if he'll be able to get that much usage at Celta. Hard pass.
44) Granit Xhaka - Sunderland - Progressing Midfielder - Xhaka is as steady as they come. He is super consistent, and due to his weak attacking involvement, he very rarely scores. However, he plays a huge role for Sunderland in buildup, and his creation/progression involvement makes him a very unsexy but valuable Top 50 pick.
45) Phil Foden - Manchester City - Creating Midfielder - Nobody potentially benefits more from the Guardiola departure than Phil Foden. He's only started a little over half of Man City's games the last 2 seasons, and got displaced in the 2nd half of last season as Rayan Cherki really came on. He always seemed to be perpetually in Pep's doghouse and a new manager should hopefully be able to get more out of him. Whether or not he is deployed alongside Cherki or they battle for the same spot is a very real open question. If he gets the nod, he is a steal this late.
46) Nico Williams - Athletic Club - Balanced Forward - Nico Williams has an immense amount of talent, but the problem is he's not healthy enough to consistently show it off. He's only 24, so he may be able to get healthy, and his per-90 numbers are extremely solid, but he carries a ton of injury risk. May be worth a flier in the 5th.
47) Andrei Ratiu - Rayo Vallecano - Progressing Defender - La Liga's #1 DF is a pretty solid pick here in the 5th. He has been super steady for Rayo and there are some transfer rumors of him moving to a bigger club. I'm probably staying away from defenders not named Pedro Porro until the end of the draft, but he's a high-floor pick that you could justify taking here.
48) Cody Gakpo - Liverpool - Creating Forward - Gakpo is in a tough spot as Iraola has brought in Munoz to most likely fill the left-wing role in his system. Gakpo has been a solid contributor and can be deployed in multiple positions, but it seems like he might be the odd man out this year if Munoz is able to adjust quickly to the Prem, and if Isak stays healthy up front. I'm maybe using a late-round flyer on him and definitely not touching him at 48.
49) Pape Gueye - Villarreal - Balanced Midfielder - The 4th Villarreal player in the Top 50, Gueye is super balanced and does a bit of everything. Unfortunately, he's not on any set-piece or corner duty and similar to the other Villarreal players, tends to disappear against top-tier teams. 49 is a little too rich for me and should most likely be looked at as a bench contributor rather than a starter.
50) Fermín López - Barcelona - Creating Midfielder - Fermin is a gamble here at 50, essentially betting that he overtakes Olmo or that someone else in the midfield ends up missing extended time. Otherwise you're taking a spot starter on an extremely deep squad where there are 5-6 guys fighting for 4 roles. If he gets real mins, this is great value. But I don't see a path for him getting that much PT.
51) Germán Valera - Elche - Creating Forward - Valera is the last man standing in a completely gutted Elche attack, and I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. Elche is firmly in the relegation picture and has made no moves to replenish their attack. Do not draft.
52) João Pedro - Chelsea - Attacking Forward - Everything appears to be lining up for Joao Pedro to have a monster year for Chelsea. The addition of Morgan Rogers adds another creating force to complement Palmer, with Pedro being the main target. He faces no competition for playing time and has a very real shot to be the #2 striker in the EPL behind Haaland this season.
53) Ferrán Torres - Barcelona - Attacking Forward
54) Amad Diallo - Manchester United - Creating Forward - Amad is like a mini-Doku for Man U, albeit with some serious problems finishing last season. That being said, his starting spot is safe and he is super dangerous with the ball at his feet. If he's able to get back to his 24/25 levels of finishing, he could be drastically underrated here at 54. He's incredibly dynamic and has top 25 upside. Let's hope he can figure it out.
55) Álex Berenguer - Athletic Club - Creating Forward - Nobody has done less with more opportunities than Álex Berenguer. Do not draft.
56) Cucho Hernández - Real Betis - Attacking Forward - Cucho is a high-floor forward and the 4th piece of Betis' excellent offense. He's an absolute steal if he's here at 56. He has no competition for his spot and Betis is returning everyone - expect him to have another solid year.
57) Mikkel Damsgaard - Brentford - Creating Midfielder - Damsgaard's production took a dive with Mbeumo's departure and it does not appear to be returning any time soon. A player with declining production on a mid-table team is not someone I want to invest in before I've filled out my starters. Pass.
58) Ollie Watkins - Aston Villa - Attacking Forward - Villa has lost its top 2 creators as Tielemans and Morgan Rogers have both moved on. Not a great recipe for its striker to keep up his current level of production. Watkins is firmly on my do-not-draft list.
59) Mikel Oyarzabal - Real Sociedad - Attacking Forward - Oyarzabal burst onto the global scene with an excellent World Cup performance as Spain's striker. He also had an extremely productive 25/26 season as Real Sociedad rebuilt the team with him as the focal point. Expect more of the same from him this year.
60) Jan Paul van Hecke - Brighton & Hove Albion - Progressing Defender - De Zerbi went out and got van Hecke from Brighton, and he should play a significant role in build-up for Tottenham. De Zerbi heavily utilizes his CBs in build-up and somehow made Lewis Dunk fantasy-relevant a couple years back. van Hecke should challenge for the #1 overall DF spot.
61) Marcus Rashford - Manchester United - Attacking Forward
62) Martin Ødegaard - Arsenal - Creating Midfielder - If Odegaard can stay healthy, he's a top 20 performer. That's a big if as his 25/26 was ravaged by injuries. Declan Rice has grown into more of a creating role alongside Odegaard's minutes falling off a cliff. A legitimately good flier here and could be a league winner.
63) Carlos Álvarez - Levante UD - Creating Midfielder - Everything we said for Valera can be repeated here. Do not draft.
64) Elliot Anderson - Manchester City - Creating Midfielder - Maresca turned Enzo into a monster in fantasy, and it looks like he brought Elliot Anderson to play the same role for him at Man City. There are a lot of mouths to feed and a lot of rotation risk at City, but there's a ton of upside as well.
65) Isi Palazón - Rayo Vallecano - Balanced Midfielder - Rinse and repeat the Berenguer analysis. Do not draft.
66) Harry Wilson - Leeds United - Attacking Forward
67) Jaidon Anthony - Brentford - Attacking Forward
68) Enzo Le Fée - Sunderland - Creating Midfielder
