Gameweek 34 Weekend Preview

April 23, 2026

Aston Villa is coming off of 3 straight games against trash opponents and runs into a solid Fulham squad this week. McGinn & Watkins have played very well in their last 3 and Rogers always has the potential to put up a top 10 overall weekly performance. Iwobi & Wilson are the lone bright spots on the Fulham attack and looks like Iwobi's hamstring shouldn't keep him out of the lineup this week. Fulham is currently 12th in the table but I'm predicting an upset against 4th-ranked Villa.
We should get a less than dynamic game in this one with 2 of the top 6 defenses battling it out. Luckily for Liverpool, Palace is about as terrible offensively as they are great defensively. Ekitike is out for an extended period and Gakpo should continue to shoulder more of the load offensively. Szoboszlai has been our 2nd highest scorer in the league behind Bruno Fernandes this season and has been remarkably consistent, however he hasn't been super impactful over the last 3 games. 2-0 Liverpool is the prediction with Salah and Isak both getting on the board. I don't expect much from anyone on Palace in this one.
Newcastle takes on a crumbling Arsenal squad that may be without Bukayo Saka as he recovers from an achilles injury. Arsenal has the best defense in the league and is brutally hard to move the ball on. This week I wouldn't touch anyone on Newcastle with a 10 foot pole, but if you are looking for a high-risk high-reward value play Bruno Guimaraes may be the call as he has just returned from a hamstring injury. Arsenal also had their star Odegaard return and he played decently well against Man City. Arsenal has lost their last 2 EPL games and with Newcastle's star back, they may be able to give Arsenal some trouble. That being said I think Arsenal get it back on track and take down Newcastle 2-1.
West Ham has been horrendous defensively this season and is firmly in the relegation picture. They are bottom 3 in every major statistical defensive category and Everton should light them up. Everton is coming off a heartbreaking last-minute loss to Liverpool while still fighting for a chance at qualifying for European football. Dewsbury-Hall & Garner should be able to move the ball with ease. Beto, Ndiaye, or McNeil should be frequently finding themselves in great positions to convert. On the West Ham side, Everton's D is definitely exploitable so Jarrod Bowen may have himself a day. Prediction is 2-1 Everton.
Expect fireworks in this one as both Tottenham and Wolves have been poor defensively. Simons has come alive under De Zerbi and should dominate the match. Porro has done an excellent job this season and is our #12 overall scorer / #2 defender. His floor is super high as he consistently progresses the ball and creates chances for his teammates. Wolves don't really have anyone relevant offensively. Tottenham is fighting to get out of the relegation picture while the Wolves are firmly in it and don't have much to play for. I think Tottenham dominates. 3-0 Tottenham
